4th of July Weekend

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend!!

Andrew was off work on Friday, so he took Grant to meet Mimi and Pepaw in Greenville around 10AM . We let him have his first over night visit for the weekend. I thought I would get upset while he was gone but I did very well. We did have a busy weekend so I think it helped. Mimi and Pepaw also needed some alone bonding time with Grant.

Friday night we went to Chase's house and grilled out. Saturday I cleaned up around the house a little and then we went to Brittany and DJ"s 4th of July party. We had a good time minus some mud that got thrown in Andrew's eye. Of course, guys still act like children.

Sunday we slept late and then hung around the house until time to leave to go pick up Grant. He was really good on the way home. When we got back I held him and got in a few sniffs! haha, I also got a few new pics of him smiling! I love it when he smiles at me!!

It has been way to long

It has been forever it seems like since I have last posted a blog..... So much has happened.

1st -I have returned to work. My first week was last week (June 22). I was pretty busy catching up, so it went by pretty fast. Mimi was here to watch Grant... which made the transition easier. It was still hard to leave him. We had a great time while she visited. Thank you mimi!

2nd- Andrew celebrated his first Fathers Day! We went to church and they did something special for the fathers. Grant got him a card and 2 chokes for his gun. Mr. Bobby (my father-in-law) Granny, Jeremy, Heather and their children all came over for lunch. It was a time with the family. Andrew said he had a great day. Andrew is such a great father and we love his sooo much!!

3rd- Grant is growing so fast!! I can't believe he will be 8 weeks tomorrow. He is so much more alert. He will look at you and follow your voice. He has also started smiling and laughing. It is the cutest thing!

I still haven't mastered blogging and I don't know how to add the pictures with words in between. I will have to post a picture blog with some cute new ones!!

MiMi visit

We had a wonderful visit with Mimi. She came in town Tuesday morning and left today around lunch. We sat around Tuesday and watched My Best Friends Girl Tuesday night. It was very funny! We went shopping on Wednesday. Grant got lots of cute items: a book, duck stuffed animal, 2 pairs of pants and 2 Baby Einstein videos. Grant is so spoiled already!! We can't wait till our next Mimi visit!! We love our World's Greatest Mimi!

1 month

I can't believe Grant is already 1 month old! Time has flown by. He is still in his newborn clothes and diapers but he seems so much longer then when he was born. He is now eating 4oz at a time except during night feedings. He usually falls back asleep before he can finish it. He is sleeping better at night. He usually wakes up around 1 or 2 and then 4:30 or 5 depending on what time he goes to sleep at night. Some nights are better then others with the sleep.

I have enjoyed this last month more then I could have ever imagined. It's hard to believe I only have 2 more weeks until I return to work. I'm going to miss him very much!!

Grant finally arrived!

So i'm officially 4 weeks late....but Grant Carter Davis has arrived! He was born May 4th 2009 at 5:40 PM. He was 7lb 8oz 20 in.

I can't believe how fast he is growing. He is 4 weeks old today! I absolutely love being a mother. I love when he grabs your finger, his facial expressions, the way he sleeps, and when he smiles at you (even if it is just gas)! He makes me so happy!! Sometimes I still can't believe I helped create this human and grew him in my belly. It's such a miracle!

Here are some of the many pics we have taken of Grant. Most are when he's asleep because that's when i actually have time to take pictures. He is a wonderful baby but he keeps me busy. Being a mother is wonderful....I have enjoyed every minute of it(even the midnight feedings)! I will take some more pictures soon and post them.
